Three area Girl Scouts have recently received their "I Live My Faith" Award for Catholic Girl Scouts.
Father Greg McCallum presented Ashley Greer her award during a Sunday Mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church while Jessica Ranshaw and Megan Milostan received their award during a mass presented by All Saints School students at St. Mary Catholic Church.
These girls worked over a year on this project. They have planned a pilgrimage for the end of the month which will conclude in Gaylord when they will meet with the new bishop of the Diocese of Gaylord, Bishop Bernard A. Hebda.
Greer is the daughter of Patrick and Judy Greer, Milostan is the daughter of Mark and Debra Milostan, and Ranshaw is the daughter of Rick and Cindy Ranshaw, all of Alpena.
Mentors for the girls as they worked on their awards were Girl Scout leaders Kelly Kujawa and Donna Precord.
