James and Deborah Adams of 4936 Long Rapids Rd., will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Feb. 28. The couple recently traveled to Jamaica to celebrate their long-standing love and commitment. They are a true inspiration to their children, grandchildren and friends on how to make marriage fun, passionate, rewarding and lasting.
The couple's children are James Adams and fiance Carolyn Brugguglio of Nashua, N.H., and Catherine and Harvey Straley of Grand Blanc. In addition to their children, they have three grandchildren: Jamie and Kellie Straley, and Sheamus Adams.
Mr. Adams and the former Deborah Quirouet were married Feb. 28, 1970, in Southfield. After serving in Vietnam, Jim worked for the State of Michigan and is now retired. Deborah currently works as an office manager and is anxiously awaiting her retirement. Both enjoy spending time with their family, especially their grandchildren, golfing, and traveling to various casinos for fun and relaxation.
