Mary Emma Knape of Traverse City and John LaCross of Alpena announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Steve and Eileen Knape of Traverse City. Her fiance is the son of Tom and Mary Ann LaCross of Alpena.
Mary is a 2005 graduate of St. Francis High School in Traverse City and a 2009 graduate of Aquinas College with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. She will graduate in 2012 from Oakland University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. John is a 2004 graduate of Alpena High School and a 2009 graduate of Aquinas College with a Bachelor's Degree in History and Theology. He is serving in a year-long volunteer program for the Capuchin Franciscan Corps, teaching at Cristo Rey High School in Southwest Detroit.
