Ashley Ann Skowronek and Daniel James Leow exchanged their wedding vows Aug. 22, 2009, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Rogers City. Father Arthur Duchnowicz officiated the 12 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Patrick and Linda Skowronek of 903 Lockwood, Alpena. The groom is the son of James and Lori Leow of 251 S. Fourth, Rogers City.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was her friend, Bethany Jaenicke. Bridesmaids were Pam Furtaw, Lisa Helsek, Marcie Seelye and Sara Pusateri, all friends of the bride.

Attending the groom as best man was his brother, Timothy Leow. Groomsmen were Nick Skowronek, brother of bride; Greg Main, Tim Whittsett and John Zampich, friends of the groom. Serving as ring bearer was Tyler Wilk and junior bridesmaid was Sydney Wilk. Ushers included Ernie Maynard and Nathan Skowronek.

Following the ceremony, a reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at Thunder Bay Recreation Center. Pre-nupital parties included a rehearsal dinner at Kelly's Venture Inn.

Ashley is a 2001 graduate of Alpena High School and is currently in the nursing program at Alpena Community College. She is employed by Rogers City Tendercare. Daniel is a 2000 graduate of Rogers City High School and a 2007 graduate of Baker College's paramedic program. He is employed by Allied EMS. They are residing at 673 S. First, Rogers City.
