Dr. Heather L. Cotter and Brian J. Killingbeck announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cotter of Alpena. Her fiance is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Killingbeck of Bridgman.
Heather is a 1999 graduate of Alpena High School. She graduated from Ferris State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in applied biology, and in 2007 from the Michigan College of Optometry with a Doctorate in Optometry. She currently practices at a private practice in Southwest Michigan.

Brian is a 2000 graduate of Bridgman High School. He graduated from FSU in 2006 with an Associates of Applied Science degree in construction management and is currently employed by Day & Zimmerman NPS.
The couple will exchange their wedding vows March 6, 2010, in a beach ceremony at the Viva Wyndham Resort on the Grand Bahama Island.
