Sandra Dee Durfee and Steven Andrew Spencer exchanged their wedding vows Aug. 8 at the Presque Isle Lodge in Presque Isle. Pastor Bo Lange officiated the 2 p.m. double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Christine Durfee of Kingsley. The groom is the son of Robin and Laurie Spencer of Traverse City.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was her daughter, Megan Durfee. Bridesmaids included Tammy Simerson, sister of the bride, and Lori Esper, friend of the bride. Flower girls were Hadley and Avery Durfee, nieces of the bride. Ring bearer was Maverick Reid, son of the bride.
Attending the groom as best man was his brother, Shandy Spencer. Groomsmen were Robin Spencer, father of the groom ,and Noah Grulke, friend of the groom. Ushers were Brett and Justin Steinke, cousins of the groom.
Following the ceremony, a reception honoring the newlyweds was held at the Presque Isle Lodge. Prenuptial parties included a rehearsal dinner at the Presque Isle Lodge.
Sandra is a graduate of Kingsley High School. Steven is a graduate of Traverse City Central High School. He attended NMC and Central Michigan University. Sandra is employed by Schelde's Grille & Spirits and Steven by Tom's Food Market Inc.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Seney and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. They are residing in Traverse City.
