Tom and Anne Peters of Alpena are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this weekend with a get together at their residence on Saturday hosted by their children and a mass celebration at St. Mary Catholic Church on Sunday.
Mr. Peters and the former Anne Jodway were married Sept. 6, 1969, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Alpena. The couple's children are Robin (Dave) Kowalski of White Lake; Cheryl (Trevor) Dunson of Traverse City and Matthew (Ruth Ann) of Somerset. They have five grandchildren: Bailey and Hunter Kowalski, Zachary and Isaac Dunson, and Shaylee Peters.
Tom is employed by Citizens Bank of Alpena and Anne is employed by AAA Michigan.
