David and Lydia Lang of Hubbard Lake celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a party for 150 family members and friends. The party was hosted by their children Aug. 1 at Caledonia Township Hall. On hand for the celebration was the original party of Bob and Marion Lang, Theresa Miller and flower girl Marilyn Martinez.
Mr. Lang and the former Lydia Hoeberling were married at Salem Lutheran Church of Hubbard Lake on Sept. 5, 1959. David is retired from L.P.
The couple's children are: Rodney (Joellen) Lang of Alpena, Daryl (Beth) Lang of Florida and Jeffery Lang of Brooklyn. They have four grandchildren: Nichlas Lang of Florida, Steve (Karla) Lang stationed in Iraq, Candice Archer of Florida and Tiffany (Andrew) Tracey of Mt. Pleasant. They also have one great-grandchild, Keidan Lang of Germany.
