April Vanessa Ahlgren and Donald James Barth exchanged their wedding vows June 27 at Word of Life Baptist Church in Alpena. Pastor Dan Lute officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Grant and Janice Ahlgren of Alpena. The groom is the son of James and Debra Barth of Harrisville.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Rachel Copping. Bridesmaids were Leticia Gagnon, Christina Geierman-Nichols, Anna Greene, Dawn Romel and Jessica Slominski, friends of the bride, and Jessica Steffel, sister of the groom. The flower girl was Tara Klich, cousin of the bride.
Attending the groom as best man was his cousin, Scott Carper. Groomsmen were Jamie Metheringham and Darrick Procunier, friends of the groom, and Gerard Ahlgren, brother of the bride. Serving as ushers were Paul Copping, brother-in-law of the bride, and Conrad Bruski, friend of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at the Alpena Holiday Inn.
April is employed at WATZ radio as a broadcast journalist. Donald is employed at Omni Metalcraft.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Costa Rica. They are residing in Ossineke.
