Karen Lynn Dohn and Mickey Charles Wasson exchanged their wedding vows Aug. 16, 2008, at the Otsego Club in Gaylord. Pastor Jerry Yarnell officiated the 4 p.m. outdoor, double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of David and Ellen Dohn of Alpena, and the late Cathline Dohn. The groom is the son of Patricia and Charles Wasson of Flint.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was her friend, Kristi Roy. Bridesmaids were Mary Buyze, Emily Pechur, Kristy Bailey and Andrea Seguin, all friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Marziah Ziobron, cousin of the bride. The flower girl was Josalyn Baile, friend of the bride. Attending the groom as best man was his brother, Matthew Wasson. Groomsmen were David Blaisdell, Brian Rill, Ed Ludwiczak and Matthew Muszynski, all friends of the groom. The ring bearer was Shaun Ziobron, cousin of the bride. Serving as ushers were David Ziobron and Bryce Wasson.
Following the ceremony, a reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at Otsego Club and Resort. For their rehearsal dinner, the couple held a picnic at Ostego Lake State Park.
Karen is employed as a speech language pathologist at Platinum Select Staffing. Mickey is employed as a physical therapist assistant also at Platinum Select Staffing.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Alaska. They are residing in Alpena.
