July 15, 2009
The Alpena News

Deandre Maurice Anderson, 28, was sentenced to 85 months to 50 years of incarceration by 26th Circuit Court Judge Michael Mack Wednesday.

Anderson, formerly of Chicago, was charged with first degree criminal sexual conduct, home invasion first degree and third degree criminal sexual conduct for raping a 21-year-old-woman and a 24-year-old woman in separate instances within a week of each other. Mack had found Anderson guilty previously on all of the charges.

Anderson may be eligible for parole after seven years but could spend as many as 50 years in jail.

Prosecutor Ed Black said the sentence was to the top of the Michigan guidelines.
