Jamie Zbytowski and Taylor VanDusen exchanged their wedding vows Oct. 18, 2008, at Westlake Presbyterian Church in Battle Creek. Pastor B. Mason Shambach officiated the 3 p.m. double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Joe and Cathy Zbytowski of Alpena. The groom is the son of Greg and Cinde VanDusen of Sarasota, Fla.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was her friend, April Parker. Bridesmaids were April Haslhuhn, Becky Kropp and Raelyn Zbytowski, all friends of the bride.
Attending the groom as best man was his friend, Dan Schuemann. Groomsmen were Joel Schmitz, friend of the groom; Ryan VanDusen, brother of the groom; Joe Zbytowski and Tim Zbytowski, brothers of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at the Fountains in Parchment.
Jamie is a 2000 graduate of Alpena High School, a 2004 graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in environmental biology/zoology and a 2005 graduate of MSU with a master's degree in zoology. She is currently employed by Great Lakes Environmental Center as an aquatic biologist.
Taylor is a 2001 graduate of Lakeview High School and a 2005 graduate of Michigan Technological University with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. He is currently employed by Post Cereals in Battle Creek as a product development engineer.
The newlyweds spent their honeymoon in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. They are making their home in Battle Creek.
