Eddie and Sylvia L. Owens Jr. of 108 Russell Court, Alpena, celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on June 19.
The couple's children are Gary and Michelle Smith of Alpena, Steve and Vicky Owens of Alpena, Jon and Lori Person of Oxford, Kerry Owens of Alpena, Jerry and Nina Irwin of Ortonville, Harry and Karen Owens of Mars, Pa., and Lee and Rebecca Male of Florida. In addition to their children, they have 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Owens and the former Sylvia L. Skiba were married June 19, 1954, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Alpena.
