Roger and Bonnie Frye of 22955 Lake Avalon Road, Hillman, recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary at home with a family dinner.
The couple's children are Lisa (David) Scarniac of Saginaw, Lori (Michael) Hachigian of Lapeer, John (Wendy) Frye of Gaylord and Jeffrey Frye of Hillman. Their grandchildren include Jake and Tara Scarniac of Saginaw, Michael Hachigian and Ashley (Ricky) Marquardt of Alpena.
Mr. Frye and the former Bonnie Benac were married April 11, 1964, in Hillman. Roger has been a self-employed logging business owner for more than 30 years and recently retired as a Montmorency County commissioner after 18 years. Bonnie is employed at Hillman Community Schools as a head cook for the elementary, due to retire this spring. She has also been a lifelong professional home manager.
