Kelly Anderson and Thomas Burnell exchanged their wedding vows May 31, 2008, at the chapel at St. John's Church in Plymouth. Father Tom McClain officiated the 4 p.m. double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Ray and Kathy Anderson of 615 Washington, Alpena. The groom is the son Jim and Pat Burnell of Port Huron.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Kara Anderson. Bridesmaids were Kacey Anderson, sister of the bride; Andrea Garrison, sister of the groom; and Sara Segura, cousin of the bride. Attending the groom as best man was his friend, Brian Warner. Groomsmen were Duncan Smith and Jashan Valjee, friends of the groom, and Aaron Garrison, brother-in-law of the groom.
Following the ceremony, a reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at the Inn at St. John's in Plymouth. A rehearsal dinner took place at Station 885 in Plymouth.
Kelly is a 2000 graduate of Alpena High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Michigan with a bachelor of business administration. She received a juris doctorate in 2007 from Michigan State University and is employed by Erntall Young, LLP as a tax attorney. Thomas is a 2000 graduate of Port Huron Northern High School and a 2004 U of M graduate with a bachelor of business administration. He received a master of accounting degree in 2005 from U of M and is employed at Plante and Moran, PLLC as a certified public accountant.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Jamaica. They are residing in Ann Arbor.
