Jim and Joanne Bowen of 576 Northwood Drive, Alpena, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Another celebration is planned this summer with family.
Mr. Bowen and the former Joanne Fallas were married Jan. 3, 1959, at St. Bernard Catholic Church. Their children are Mary (Tom) DeCaire of Alpena, Jim (Judy) Bowen Jr. of Ludington and Betsy Bowen Smith of Key West, Fla. They also have six grandchildren: Cory and Casey DeCaire; Andrew, Lauren and Ryan Bowen; and Kai Smith.
