Sonja Marie Hentkowski and Ryan Ray Fiel were united in marriage September 27 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Petoskey. The Rev. Denny Stilwell officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Eric Hentkowski of Posen and Kimberly Hentkowski of Presque Isle. Her grandmother is Blanche Hentkowski of Hawks. The groom is the son of Gary and Diane Fiel of Boyne Falls.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was her friend, Becky Purgiel. Bridesmaids were Jessica Ciarkowski, Jesse Lewandowski and Amy Wcisel, all friends of the bride, and Rene and Roslyn Fiel, sisters of the groom.

Attending the groom as co-best men were Kurt Reynolds and Matthew Britton, both friends of the groom. Groomsmen were Nathan Skop, cousin of the groom, Jeremy Loper and Nathan Dzwik, friends of the groom, and Reggie Fiel, brother of the groom.
Ushers were Michael Skop, uncle of the groom, and Jacob Hentkowski, cousin of the bride. Readers were Mitchell Hentkowski, uncle and godfather of the bride, and Tammy Hincka, aunt of the bride. Taking up the offertory gifts were Izaiah Hincka, godson of the bride, and Alayna Fiel, goddaughter of the groom.
Following the ceremony, a reception was given at the Emmet County Community Building in Petoskey with approximately 350 guests attending. The rehearsal dinner was also held at the Emmet County Building and given by family and friends.
Sonja is a 2000 graduate of Posen High School and is currently employed as a juvenile probation officer in Gaylord. Ryan is a 1999 graduate of Boyne Falls High School and is the owner of Ryan's Landscaping, Inc. They are currently residing in Boyne Falls and will be honeymooning in Mexico this January.
