DETROIT (AP) — Flooding from an apparent water main break is prompting some street closures in downtown Detroit around Campus Martius.
Water flowed from underground onto the streets on Tuesday morning.
Area resident Chelsea Williams usually catches the bus in the area, but it couldn't get through. She tells WWJ-AM she's trying to get to work.
Such breaks have been common in Detroit amid the persistent cold. Last week, a broken water main flooded a several-block area in southwest Detroit.
Recent water main breaks also have caused problems in other Michigan communities.
