Solar technology isn't currently economical here in northern Michigan. Wind power may work, but then they'll complain about the unsightly windmills killing birds. Someday renewable energy will be feasible, but not yet.

While we can argue if it's time or not for solar or wind energy one thing is clear, coal is yesterdays technology. Natural gas prices are down and should be down for a while due to new ways to get gas out of the ground and it's far safer with less pollutants than dirty coal. There is no clean coal energy anywhere. It's a pipe dream that comes from unproven ideas that have not been shown by anyone anywhere. While natural gas is safe, cost effective and made in MI....shredder

It should also be noted that our court of appeals is a republican dominated court that is overturned regularly by the state supreme court. Their record is trackable and should be noted in any story involving them.....shredder
