The agreement with the power company in the UP is for an out of date ancient plant. It will never run at full capacity due to it's old age. Not a wise use of ratepayer's money, it's only a 100 milion dollar stopgap measure. For now and for the future why not do the obvious and build a natural gas powered plant? Why continue to fight the EPA? What's the point? Lets get with the program and join the 21rst century.....shredder

The EPA is way out of control and should be eliminated.

The price of coal continues to rise because of huge demands from China and India. Domestic natural gas prices continue to fall. Power companies are building gas fired plants. Except wolverine. I have to wonder who in the wolverine family is profitting from the high price of coal and related transportation costs? You're right normanlake and Shredder. If wolverine refuses to do the obvious, then their motives lie elsewhere.
