No more winter

February 27, 2008 - Steve Murch
When it comes to most things, we have a point where we just can’t take it anymore. With the winter, mine came last night while walking home from work.

Enough already.

We’ve had snow on the ground for more than three months and the cold just doesn’t seem to want to leave. Sure, we get teased with slightly milder temperatures, but then we hit the bitter cold again.

I realize there are many people who enjoy all the winter activities, but surely they must be getting tired of all the cold too. Aren’t they? I can’t believe they have reached a point where they still aren’t annoyed with shoveling, scrapping car windows and having to bundle up for the most mundane of activities.

Perhaps I’m wrong. If I am, forgive me for starting to pray for warmer weather. It's just that I reached the end of my rope with winter.
