Now they need us

Did you survive Super Tuesday?
I admit to surfing channels Tuesday evening before moving over to the internet to keep abreast of all the state's returns.
From the GOP perspective it looks as if John McCain has a commanding lead now and I only wonder had both Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee not both been in the race, how things would have looked at this point. I suspect, like their Democrat counterparts, it would be a much tougher battle. It's too bad, as I believe Romney is the best candidate from both parties to address the economy.
I'm smiling today watching the Democrats and the very interesting and tight battle being waged between Hillary and Barack. Races this tight are to be treasured, and it has all the looks of this point of making the National Convention in Denver this August a real thriller.
Better still, I'm betting the Democratic National Committee is going to be faced with a real dilemma on how to deal with Michigan and Florida's delegates. Looking at the delegate count today, the Michigan and Florida delegates could be the pivotal ones needed to put one candidate or the other over the top.
That being the case, how will the DNC handle the issue? Will they hold fast to penalizing both states and not seating them? Will they seek an alternative selection process in each state?
Wouldn't it be sweet revenge to see by the end the primaries both candidates being virtually deadlocked and then Michigan and Florida playing pivotal roles in determining the party's candidate?
Oh, how sweet that would be!
