Portfolio in Flux.

October 18, 2010 - Steve Schulwitz
It has been over two years since I initially invested in the stock market and began trading. Since then I have been fortunate enough to have enjoyed two strong Bull Market runs and doubled my money. What I find funny is how much my portfolio has changed in that time. Since my first investment I have switched to more dividend heavy stocks and became a touch more speculative. I have also been lucky to have purchased what may be the biggest growth company story in years, Apple Inc. Since I purchased the tech stock the company has introduces a pair of iPhones which have been huge successes, and more importantly, the iPad. The iPad has already surpassed even Apple's expectations and is growing quickly in the corporate section, which is something the company has tried to do with all their products for years. The stock has grown by almost 200 percent since the day I bought it and I have sold it after several large runs, waited for a market correction and then increased my position several times. I almost wish one of those corrections would start soon, so my stops would be hit, and I can buy in again at sale prices.I'm sure my holdings will continue to evolve with the every changing trading climate, but one thing is for sure. My Apple shares won't be going anywhere soon.
