Got any books for us?

December 22, 2009 - Diane Speer
You've probably seen by now the newspaper ads we've just started running about our next Newspapers in Education Book Sale. We currently are accepting donations of books, CDs and videos of all kinds for the upcoming sale that is slated for Feb. 6, 2010.

This is our fifth annual Book Sale, and every year it seems to grow in popularity. We've always pigbacked the sale on our annual Business Expo, holding both events simultaneously at the Thunder Bay Recreation Center. That's the plan again this year.

We're looking for all the help we can get. So, once the holiday are out of the way, we invite you and encourage you to sort through your stash of books at home, and donate any you no longer want to this worthwhile sale. Proceeds from the program are used to provide free newspapers to about a dozen local schools as an education tool.

Books can be dropped anytime during business hours at The Alpena News office located at 130 Park Place.
