What's cooking?

Just got done proofing recipes for our summer cookbook project, and I have to say there are some pretty tempting recipes that have been submitted. We’ve done a number of winter holiday cookbooks over the years, but this is our first summer cookbook so the recipes all have a summer flair to them. Here’s my quick list of ones I want to try after reading through all the offerings: Blue Cheesecake Bars from Midge Connon of Alpena, Double-Orange Refrigerator Sheet Cake from Kathleen Idalski of Rogers City, Amazing Coconut Pie from Barbara Mainville, Ultimate Chicken Fingers from Carolyn Anderson of Alpena, Strawberry Spinach Salad from Betty Wildfong, Cherries Jubilee Cheesecake Bars from Tami Romel and Grilled Chicken, Sausage and Vegetable Skewers from Linda DeWyre. The rest of our readers will have to wait until late June to see all the good recipes that were sent in by a total of 49 different cooks. Trust me, having just read through them all, it will be worth the wait
