It's a Guy Thing

Last night I was visiting with a friend when he said "Aren't the Olympics great? I really enjoy this type of sporting event. And, the best thing about it is after the Olympics are over it will be time for another season of football?"

So, are you ready for some football?

I know I am - especially with the cooler weather of this past week. It almost seems as if summer abruptly ended over the weekend and autumn arrived in its place.

We all know it is but an illusion. Thankfully summer is not over yet and we're certainly not going to wish it away anytime soon.

We have to admit we weren't complaining much about last weekend's lousy weather, however. It gave us a good excuse to stay inside and watch more of Michael Phelps and crew.

And my friend's right. When the Olympics are over, football will be right behind it.
