| | Fruits of a good partnershipMay 22, 2008 - Diane Speer I popped in the Besser Museum Wednesday afternoon to grab a quick photo for a story I'm working on and was I ever surprised. The place was crawling with elementary school students, who were engaged in all sorts of interesting activities. Somehow I'd forgotten about the Social Studies Enrichment Day that is held annually at the museum. Sponsored by the AMA Educational Service District, it allows kids from local schools to taken advantage of the wealth of educational opportunities that can be found at the museum. And that's exactly what the 400 youngsters were doing. While all this activity was going on around me, I took a glance at the 26th annual High School Juried Art Exhibit currently hanging at the museum. It features about 40 works by students from three area high schools. Such creativity! It's great to see the fruits of such an advantageous partnership between the Besser Museum and area schools.
