One of the best features of the new website is the interactive capability with readers. I would urge you, for instance, to read the story today (Jan. 10) at the website on polling place requirements for Tuesday's primary. Within that story is an interactive poll where we are seeking answers to what election issue will drive your vote Tuesday. I'm curious to see what is on readers' minds, as I am sure you are. By the way, if you want to seek a Democrat ballot Tuesday but your candidate's name is not there - don't spoil the ballot by writing in that candidate's name. The best advice is to check the "uncommitted" box on the ballot. Heading into the national convention this summer, I would expect Michigan will have its full slate of delegates seated by national party people and with that, there should be a division of those uncommitted delegates assigned to the candidates not appearing on the Michigan ballot. Sound complicated? You bet! Unfortunately, Michigan Democrats seem short-changed in having their voices heard this year.
