Our inhumanity toward children is atrocious

I must start out with I don’t have the answer to this problem. For a moment try to remember the first time you sent your child or grandchild off on the school bus, the first time you saw them off to summer camp, the first time you admitted them into a hospital, and left them for a day or more.

Now imagine you are in fear for your life, safety, and well-being and that of your children. You flee thousands of miles facing all of the above, only to arrive at the U.S. border and are turned back or arrested and have your children taken away from you.

Only one look at those faces of these young and innocent children and you are not human, if you are not moved, or deeply saddened.

The scars will be with them forever not knowing if they will ever be reunited again.

What would you do given these circumstances and dangers? We must come up with a solution for this atrocity and unite in our humanity. This is truly an example of “man’s inhumanity to man.”
