Greed is driving early Christmas displays

I went to the store this morning, Nov. 3, and was greeted by a Santa Claus cutout. First thing that popped into my head was greed. Just got done with Halloween three days earlier and have not even had the chance to enjoy Thanksgiving yet (oh yeah, the stores probably don’t make as much money selling stuff for that holiday) and they are already amping us up for Christmas. By the time it get here, with all the ads, commercials, songs, etc., to “buy, buy, buy” we are too worn out and sick of all the advertising to even enjoy, celebrate the day and remember the reason for the season. “The love of money is the root of all evil.” I remember reading that somewhere.
