Received excellent care while in the hospital

On July 7, I had a total reverse shoulder replacement at our hospital in Alpena. I was only there overnight, but I had very good care. If I needed anything and turned my light on, the nurses were right there. I never had to turn my light on twice. I was even handed a warm washcloth to wash my face. A very small gesture, but meant so much. Haven’t seen anything like that in a very long time. I am grateful to Dr. Blitink who did my surgery. I never experienced an ounce of pain. We always hear about bad experiences because bad news travels faster than good news. I am all for supporting our doctors here in Alpena. If we don’t support them, they will go elsewhere, eat at their restaurants, and stay in their hotels, etc. let’s keep this business in Alpena.
