Migrated legally, want others to do the same

I was an immigrant to the U.S.A., for the privilege of migrating to this country I had to meet certain criteria. I needed a report from the RCMP stating my criminal history was clean. I needed a report from an acceptable physician stating I was in good health. I had to have an occupation that was in short supply in the U.S.A. I had to have a legitimate offer of employment from an American employer. Then I needed clearance from the American Department of Labor as the final step to obtain a visa and my green card. Plus years of education and experience to develop skills in my occupation. All in all a time consuming daunting challenge. If I did not complete this process and came to the U.S.A. I would have been deported and probably refused any future admission.

It seems many people decided to bypass the system and entered this country illegally thus becoming criminals. Now they and their supporters want their criminal records deleted and to be accepted as legal immigrants. They have already shown us that they have no intention of respecting our laws. Just what we need, 11 million more criminals legally walking our streets.
