Michigan is in real need of some tax reform

While I understand we should balance the budget as to not put Michigan’s debt in jeopardy, I believe that not only do we have the means to cut taxes, we have a moral imperative to. The money the State of Michigan claims is theirs is the people’s money, and to not give it back would be akin to theft.

The budget is secure, so why people want the government to take their money is beyond me. As it is Michigan in many cases lacks investment which a tax cut would bring. Further, the screams that it will lead to an end to the income tax in Michigan are totally unreasonable. We need tax reform in Michigan now.
