Addressing ‘fears’ expressed by letter writer

Addressing Pat Shaffer’s LttE, 11-19-16. Many new elected Presidents have had no idea how to govern, which is why they appoint a cabinet of advisors. It’s also why we have a Congress. The “small strides” for health care has cost everyone, even those with HCI, and have fined monetarily those who can’t afford it, making it less affordable. Push women back to the Dark Ages? A designed, pitiful, scare tactic. Some jobs have been replaced by automation but, it also takes new skilled jobs to keep automation running. The largest amount of lost jobs isn’t because of automation, but with unfair trade deals. Deals like NAFTA, import/export regulations, etc., have taken tens of millions of jobs from America. Including the product we use to write/type, your auto parts, TV, and the clothes on our backs. We have become a service country that no longer labors hard in steel mills, builds auto parts, quality bearings, or repairs broken products. It’s becoming an entitlement Nation. It takes a college course to teach people how to lay cement, because they can’t Google it. A great quote, “The only thing to fear is fear itself.” Enjoy your backyard.
