Hats off to ARMC on 75 years

For 75 years Alpena Regional Medical Center – its directors, doctors, nurses and staff – have met the health care needs of Northeast Michigan residents.

For a rural health care facility, that hasn’t always been easy. Despite the hurdles of staff recruitment to the region, changes in health care regulations and insurance reimbursements, plus never ending advancements in technology, the administration has always steered the facility in a good direction.

For instance with advances in technology comes the need to constantly be modernizing equipment and facilities. ARMC leaders haven’t hesitated to pursue those types of things and when the need has arisen, they’ve sought out financial help from you and I. Thus, as ARMC celebrates its 75th anniversary, the residents of the region can be especially proud as well, for each of you have helped make the health care facility what it is today.

We are fortunate to have a state-of-the-art health care facility like ARMC in our region, and we join with everyone there, as well as each of our readers this morning in saying “congratulations on this milestone anniversary, it has been a job well done.” May the years ahead hold many more historic milestone markers as our residents benefit from quality health care close to home.
