GARY LEE MUSZYNSKI

Gary Lee Muszynski, 72, of Alpena, passed away Monday, Aug. 20, 2018 at MediLodge Alpena.

Gary was born Feb. 3, 1946 in Alpena to Theophile and Lydia (Miller) Muszynski. Being born and raised his entire life in Alpena, Gary grew to love all that northern Michigan had to offer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being an avid outdoorsman. He also loved to bowl and golf. In fact, Gary participated in many leagues and events at the Alpena Golf Club. Gary was very proud of the fact that he worked for Miles Ludlow for many years, which began a long-standing friendship. He also worked at Great North Foods for many years before retiring from there. Gary was affectionately known as the “Peppermint Pattie guy,” as he was always handing out the mini York Peppermint Patties to random people that crossed his path, as well as anyone else he thought needed cheering up.

Gary is survived by his son, Ernest (Vanessa) Muszynski, granddaughter Emily Muszynski, step-son Jeff Goodrich, step-grandson Dillon Goodrich, and a sister, Dolores Baker, several nieces and nephews, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by both parents, his wife, Patricia, and sister, Janet Staley.

A memorial service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018 at 11 a.m., with the Rev. James Erickson officiating. Please consider a memorial donation to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Kitchen Fund, or the Immanuel Lutheran Church Youth Group. Online condolences can be registered at www.mcwilliamsfh.com
