Dorothy Elice Kowalski, 82, of Alpena passed away Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018.
Dorothy Bruski was born Nov. 11, 1935 in Posen to the late Frank and Cecelia (Buza) Bruski. On Aug. 3, 1957, she married C. Robert Kowalski. Dorothy was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Rosary Group #1. She enjoyed quilting and gardening.
Surviving are her husband, C. Robert; five children, Diane (David) Denis, Glen (Shelly) Kowalski, Karen (Donald Bossardet) Kowalski, Robert (Claire) Kowalski, Annette (Jeffrey) Deppong; 10 grandchildren, Matthew (fiancee Katie Dawson) Denis, Ellen Denis, Marie (Bill) Campbell, Katherine (Dave Willis) Bossardet, Paul Bossardet, Zachary Kowalski, Nicholas Kowalski, Brenden Kowalski, Brian (Katie) Deppong, Benjamin Deppong; two great-grandchildren, James, Alexander Campbell; three siblings, Arthur Bruski, Regina Taratuta, Blanche (Ervin) Mulka; three sisters-in-law, Virginia Bruski, Annette (Mike) LaMarre, and Delores Bruski.
Mrs. Kowalski was preceded in death by her siblings, Aloysius Bruski, Florian Bruski, Louis Bruski, Bernard Bruski, Anthony Bruski, Helen Gryniewicz, Alphonse Bruski, Casimir Bruski, Alice Bruski, and Frank Bruski.
Visitation will take place on Sunday at Bannan Funeral Home from 2-7 p.m. with the Rosary at 3 p.m. and parish prayer service at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday at St. Mary Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Msgr. David Greka officiating.
