Doris Bertha Siegert, 87, of Hubbard Lake and Hudson, Fla., passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2018.

Doris Bertha Degen was born Nov. 3, 1930, in Alpena to the late Adolph and Martha (Wilke) Degen. On April 7, 1949, she married Norman J. Siegert. He preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 1988. Doris worked as a postal clerk for the United States Post Office, until retiring in 1990. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Marilyn Siegert; three grandchildren, Tony Siegert, Carson Siegert, Chesney Russell Davis II; two great-grandchildren, Russell Davis III, Elizabeth Davis; three brothers, Elmer Degen, Arnold (Carol) Degen, and Edwin (Jane) Degen.

Mrs. Siegert was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Siegert; two brothers, Herman Degen and Alfred Degen.

Visitation will take place on Friday, Feb. 16, at Hope Lutheran Church from 2-7 p.m. and continue Saturday from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Randy Conley officiating. Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
