Patricia A. Kreft, 83, of Alpena passed away Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, at home.

Patricia was born on Jan. 28, 1934, to the late William “Jerry” and Audrey M. (Noiles) Dignan in Alpena. On July 3, 1954, she married John A. Kreft, Jr. He preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 2013.

Upon graduation from high school in 1952, Patricia was employed as a legal secretary at the law firm of Carl R. Henry and William F. Knapp for 15 years followed by 29 years with Attorney Richard G. Boyce, retiring in February of 1998. She enjoyed her ladies card clubs and was an avid bridge and pinochle player.

Patricia is survived by two daughters, Susan K. Sherbert of Florence, S.C., Nancy S. Wedge of Alpena; three granddaughters, Lisa Morrison and Brianne (James) Scott of Florence, S.C., Ashley M. (Garry Wright) Wedge of Alpena; grandson, Benjamin J. (Chelsey) Wedge of Arden Hills, MN; four great grandsons of South Carolina; one great granddaughter; two brothers, her twin, Patrick G. (Theresa) Dignan of Alpena, Richard J. (Helen) Dignan of Verona, Wis.; sister, Joan M. (Sonny) Chrzan of Alpena; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Kreft was preceded in death by her sons-in-law, Bill Wedge and John Sherbert.

Memorial visitation will take place at First Congregational United Church of Christ Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, from 1 p.m. until time of the memorial service at 3 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Paul Lance officiating. Per her wishes, cremation arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.

Inurnment: First Congregational United Church of Christ Columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Congregational United Church of Christ.
