Fannie Mae Diemond, 83, of Alpena passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at Sally’s Care Home.

Fannie Mae Hanna was born Dec. 7, 1933, to the late Virgil and Judith (Peterson) Hanna. On Dec. 19, 1953, she married Richard Diemond. He preceded her in death on April 27, 2010. Fannie was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church — Alpena and Esther Circle. She loved gardening flowers, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her four children, Robert (Debra) Diemond, William (Sandra) Diemond, Judy (Scott) Black, Cindy (Michael) Szydlowski; nine grandchildren, Michael (Courtney) Schiller, Matthew Diemond, Brian Schiller, Alecia Diemond, Christopher Diemond, Jeremy (Kathleen) Szydlowski, Greg Diemond, Kevin (Kelly) Diemond, Jennifer (Brett) Werda; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Virginia Bruns.

Mrs. Diemond was preceded in death by her grandchild, Kristyn Diemond.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Monday from 2-8 p.m. and will continue at St. Paul Lutheran Church — Alpena on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Shirley Ross-Jones officiating.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery
