Dean Alger Linton, 82, of Hubbard Lake passed away Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, at Tendercare Alpena. Dean was born Feb. 16, 1935, in Detroit to the late Roy and Irene (Cuddie) Linton. On Feb. 2, 1957, he married Geraldine Ross. Dean worked at Ford Motor for 30 years, retiring in 1989. He worked as a mason along with his father and brothers. Surviving are his wife, Geraldine; three children, Pamela (Carl) Bruce, Katherine (Fred) Madley, Jeffrey (Sherry) Linton; seven grandchildren, Eric, Elizabeth, Elise, Frederick III, Stacey, Jessica, James; four great-grandchildren; six siblings, Larry (Betty) Linton, Ronald (Barbara) Linton, Arlene (Jim) Nye, Gloria (John) Fournier, Jerry (Kate) Linton, and Timothy Linton. Mr. Linton was preceded in death by his daughter, Anne Marie. Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. and continue there on Friday from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jack Williams officiating. Interment: Hubbard Lake Cemetery Memorials: MidMichigan Medical Center-Alpena Cancer Center or Pied Piper School.
