Irma Joyce Ludwig, 91, of Alpena passed away Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, at home.

Irma Joyce Habermehl was born on Nov. 23, 1925, in Alpena to the late Lawrence and Vernie (Smith) Habermehl. On May 8, 1948, she married Allen Ludwig. He preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 2000. Irma worked in the cafeteria at Alpena High School. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed bowling and gardening.

Surviving are her three children, Connie Worek, Daniel (Ann Griffin) Ludwig, Diane (Lee) Browski; four grandchildren, Dana (Nick Kolnowski) Bailey, Katrina (Darrin Schultz) Bailey, Caleigh Worek, Alexandria Browski; five great-grandchildren, Jamison, Izik, Jazmin, Tyler, Kenzie; sister, Jean Robertson; sisters-in-law, Jean Martin and Ruth Habermehl.

Mrs. Ludwig was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Robert Worek; seven siblings, Donald Habermehl, Merle Habermehl, Dale Habermehl, Averil Spragg, Zelda Eagle, Eldon Habermehl, and Orrin Habermehl.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. James Erickson officiating.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery
