Christopher John Hippensteel passed away on Friday morning, Oct. 6, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was a determined fighter, he had so much courage in his battle with Juvenile Parkinson’s and Dystonia along with a third unknown disease. He was born Jan. 26, 2001, in Battle Creek, the son of John and Sandy Hippensteel of Kalamazoo. He left behind his parents, a loving brother, Nicholas John Hippensteel; grandparents, John and Kathy Hippensteel of Mattawan and Jorge and Adiela Guerra of Florida; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Christopher attended Pied Piper School in Alpena and Woods Edge School in Kalamazoo, which he loved. He enjoyed bowling, soccer and wrestling before he got sick. He had an infectious smile that would cause anyone to smile when he did. He was loved by everyone that knew him.
