Arlene Emma LaFeldt, 82, of Alpena passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at Turning Brook.

Arlene Emma Moggie was born on Aug. 13, 1934 in Alpena County to the late Carl and Olga (Koenig) Moggie and married Walter LaFeldt on May 7, 1955. He preceded her in death on May 11, 1993. Together they owned and operated Jim and Ann’s Restaurant and later known as the Rueben House in the 1970s. She later worked at the Alpena General Hospital for 15 years until her retirement. Arlene was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Alpena, where she helped put on the Harvest Dinner and the Bazaar Luncheon for many years. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and traveling all over the United States with Walt. Her favorite trips where visiting Greg and Patricia in Chicago.

Surviving are two children, Gregory and Patricia LaFeldt, Peggy and August Matuzak; four siblings, Arnie and Alice Moggie, Eleanor Timm, Art and Iris Moggie, Donna (fiance Louie Bartz) Krentz; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. LaFeldt was preceded in death by a brother, Carl and Velma Moggie; brothers-in-law, Ewald Timm and Elmer Krentz.

Mrs. LaFeldt is at the Bannan Funeral Home where visitation will take place on Monday from 3-8 p.m. and will continue on Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church-Alpena from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Shirley Ross-Jones officiating.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery
