ROSEMARY ANN TRELFA

Rosemary Ann Trelfa, 78, of Alpena, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2016 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Alpena.

Rosemary was born Nov. 9, 1938 in Alpena to the late Leonard and Florence (Jaskolski) Losinski and had been a lifelong resident of the Alpena area. She married Clayton Trelfa on Sept. 29, 1960 in Rogers City. He preceded her in death in November of 1992. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church then St. Mary Catholic Church here in Alpena and the Rosary Society. She worked as an aide at Ella White Elementary School, enjoyed working at the Book Exchange and was an avid reader. She loved to cook, do crossword puzzles and was very crafty with ceramics, sewing and other craft activities. Many people referred to her and her sister, Dolores as “connected at the hip” as they were always seen walking together.

Surviving are seven children: Greg (Debbie) Trelfa of Presque Isle, Sharon Trelfa of Mesick, Thomas Trelfa of Alpena, Lisa (Ed) Sytek of Alpena, Kristen (Richard) LaMay of Howell, Mich., Jon Trelfa of Salisbury, Mass., Melissa (Steven) Minton of Oakland, Mich., two step-children: Steven Trelfa, Diane Biron, 10 grandchildren: Jeremy, Tylor, Kaetlin, Justin, Ashleigh, Casie, Glory, Brynne, Emily, Grace; five step-grandchildren: Don, Patrick, Christopher, Aaron, Sean and several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dolores (Eugene) Jasman of Alpena. She was preceded in death by a step-son, Michael Trelfa.

Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church of All Saints Parish from 11 a.m. until the mass of Christian burial at 12 noon with Fr. Joseph Muszkiewicz officiating. Inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. McWilliams Funeral Home – Alpena has assisted the family. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
