Twp. supervisor arrested on OWI charge
ALPENA — Alpena Township Supervisor Nathan Skibbe has been arrested for drunk driving.
Skibbe was arrested Sunday afternoon by troopers from the Michigan State Police-Alpena Post, the Alpena County Sheriff’s Office confirmed following a Freedom of Information Act request from The Alpena News.
Skibbe, 39, was arrested on a charge of operating while impaired, the sheriff’s office said. He was being held on a $2,000 bond.
Further details were not immediately available. The date and time of his arraignment have not been announced.
Skibbe was elected as supervisor in 2016 and is serving his first term.
