Darcie Godin kitchen manager for The Owl Restaurant in Alpena stirs the restaurant’s chili Saturday on Second Avenue as part of the 4th annual Chowder and Chili Cookoff. The event featured live music and craft beer and wine, as well as a chance to sample chili and chowder crafted by amateur and professionals.

Besides going from tent to tent tasting delicious chili and chowder at the cook off downtown Saturday, there was excellent music provided by various artists. The Blood Money Men had a mixture of blues and a soul music written mostly by the musicians of the band.
