Catherine Jacques and Paul Chaplin exchanged wedding vows on Sept. 2, 2017 at the National Shrine of the Little Flower Catholic Basilica in Royal Oak. Father Joseph Lang officiated the double-ring ceremony.

Catherine is the daughter of Patrick and Raleigh Jacques of Alpena. Paul is the son of Robert and Jennifer Chaplin of Brighton.

The bride and groom were accompanied by matron of honor Monica Dziesinski and best man Mark Chaplin; bridesmaids Deanna Gutherie, Elizabeth Jacques, Jane Schmanski and Julie Stasik; junior bridesmaids Natalie Chaplin and Alexa Rimpela; groomsmen Jason Harris, Jason Lisiecki, Kurt McDonald, Jack Schmanski and Jared Stasik; flower girl Calla Stasik and ring bearer Graham Chaplin.

The couple enjoyed their honeymoon on the islands of Moorea and Bora Bora, French Polynesia. They are making their home in Royal Oak.
