North Country Candy and Gifts’ “Opening Day of Chocolate Season” fundraiser was Saturday, Nov. 17. Tickets were $20, which included a half pound of your favorite chocolates, samples of seasonal flavored coffee, fruit and vegetable dips, preserves, caramel corn and 10 percent off any purchase during the event. All ticket sale proceeds, which amounted to $180, were donated to the Zonta Club of Alpena for breast cancer awareness programs.
