Zonta Club awards five college scholarships
The Zonta Club of Alpena hosted the 2018 Zonta Scholarship recipients at its June 7 meeting. The club offers scholarships for women continuing on with their educational aspirations immediately following high school graduation.
In addition, the club offers “non-traditional” student scholarships for those who have been out of school for a minimum of five years, and who are attending Alpena Community College to begin or further their vocational goals.
The scholarships are funded by the club’s multiple fundraising efforts conducted throughout the year.
